CONNECTING AND CREATING: THROUGH CULTURE IMMERSION

The Residency House has opened its doors since 2017 and since then, it has catered to curious and adventurous artists who visit the city to explore and get to know the place.

Located inside the Art District complex, it gives the artist a first-hand experience at what the Bacolod art community can be like. Every traveller would find easy access to restaurants, in and around Art District and nearby establishments, public transportation, museums, galleries, schools, artist studios, public parks, pharmacies, hospitals, malls, etc.

With the house's bricks walls, tall, large windows, and simplistic look, artists from all over the globe would consider it a home away from home. Great personal stories are constantly unfolding in this 2-floor building complete with a kitchen, dining area, laundry room, 2 bedrooms, and a shared living area.

Staying in the Residency House can be as short as a few days to a maximum of 6 weeks. Both sponsored and paying artists may be asked to present an Artist Talk, Exhibition, Workshop, Demo, or be open to an Open Studio Visit day/s, and may also leave an artwork to the program depending on a case to case basis.

If an exhibition was previously scheduled, the primary exhibition space would be Gallery Orange, followed by Block 17 Art Space, and as an alternative to a gallery setting the surrounding open areas of Art District.
